This policy explains what personal information Shamba Travel Group collects through this website (shambatravelgroup.com), why, and how we look after it.

Information we collect

• Booking requests: your name, email address, telephone number, country, travel dates, party size, children's ages, accommodation preferences and any special requests.
• Enquiries and journey requests: the details you enter in our contact form and journey planner, including the properties, dates and experiences you choose.
• Newsletter: your email address and the date you agreed to receive our emails.
• Website usage: anonymous statistics about the pages visited, the type of device and how visitors found the site. These statistics do not use cookies and do not store your IP address; visitors are counted using a code that changes every day.
• Optional analytics cookies: if you accept them in the cookie banner, Google Analytics may set cookies to help us understand how the site is used.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, check availability, prepare quotes and itineraries, and provide the services you ask for. A request about one of our properties is shared with that property’s reservations team, and a journey request with each property on the itinerary, so they can confirm your stay. If you opt in, we may occasionally send news and offers; you can opt out at any time. Where a property uses live reservations, booking details are passed securely to the Shamba Group Portal, the reservations system used across the group. Group Card sign-in happens directly with the portal.

How long we keep it

Booking requests and enquiries are kept for as long as needed to manage your stay and meet our legal and accounting obligations, and are then deleted or anonymised.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our properties and this website (such as our email and hosting providers and the group’s reservations system), and where required by law.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to its use for marketing. Contact us at info@shambagroup.co.zm.

Security

The website uses encrypted connections, and access to booking information is restricted to authorised staff.
